Practice Policies
Suzanne Hall provides psychological services in a respectful, ethical, and trauma‑informed manner. This page outlines key practice policies to help you understand how therapy works and what you can expect.
Informed Consent
Psychological therapy is a collaborative process. You are encouraged to ask questions at any time and to raise concerns if something does not feel right.
Participation in therapy is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent or pause therapy at any stage. We will regularly review how therapy is going and discuss any changes needed.
Confidentiality
Your sessions are confidential. Information shared in therapy will not be disclosed without your consent except where disclosure is required or authorised by law, including situations involving serious risk to you or others.
The limits of confidentiality are explained in detail in the consent form provided before commencing therapy and in the Privacy Policy available on this website.
Telehealth Services
Where appropriate, sessions may be provided via phone or video (telehealth). Telehealth may have limitations, including technology disruptions or privacy risks associated with internet‑based communication.
Secure platforms are used, and suitability for telehealth will be discussed with you, including emergency planning and privacy considerations.
Between-session communication
Email and text communication are available for administrative matters and brief supportive contact only. These forms of communication are not monitored continuously and are not suitable for urgent support or crisis situations.
If you are at risk or need immediate assistance, please contact emergency services or a crisis support service.
Professional boundaries and respectful behaviour
A safe and respectful therapeutic relationship is essential. If communication or behaviour becomes unsafe, inappropriate, or unmanageable, services may be paused or discontinued, with referral options discussed where appropriate.
